Since our inception in 1984, the mission of Victims of Violence has been to provide long term support and guidance to victims of violent crime and their families and to aid families of missing children in the search for their loved ones. Victims of Violence continue extensive research on issues affecting victims of violent crime and to act as a resource centre providing information on these topics for victims and the community. Victims of Violence also provides governments, news media, and the community a victim`s perspective on issues affecting victims of violent crime; and to generally promote public safety and the protection of society.

IT SHOULDN`T HURT TO BE A CHILD. We are a recognized organization by the RCMP's Our Missing Children Program (http://www.victimsofviolence.on.ca/rev2/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=383&Itemid=266) which works in cooperation with agencies that have a national reputation for serving Canadians on the issue of Missing Children. 

Through this program we print and distribute information and posters of missing children throughout Canada free of charge.
